Riding a motorbike is not that effortless. The first thing that you should keep in mind is balance and focus. These two things will keep you on track and under control when you are on the street. Now, let’s learn about the fundamentals.
Protective Equipment: prior to starting to ride, your body should be fully protected. Necessary protective equipment includes a helmet, gloves, armored clothing and boots.
Motorbike controls: the lever on the right side is for the front break. The lever on the left side is the clutch. Found on the left side of the bike is the foot peg and the gear shifter. One down step on the shifter is for the first gear. A half step up is for the neutral gear, and continuing up will lead you to second, third, fourth, fifth or sixth gear.
Before starting your motorbike, make sure that it is in neutral. After that, pull in the clutch and punch the starter button. Start the motorcycle with the clutch in and the transmission in neutral then put the bike in first gear. Make sure that your kickstand is raised. Hold the throttle steady then slowly let go of the clutch until the bike begins to move. As soon as the bike begins to move, pull the clutch back in and keep the throttle steady.
After you have mastered the clutch biting point you can start moving off and getting used to changing gear. Practice your braking first. Once you have the hang of that you can start trying turns. Keep your eyes focused on the point you intend to travel to. This will cause you body to move the bike naturally and smoothly.
When you have internalized these basic instructions, you are now ready to look for further instruction and guidance. Just remember, be careful and keep your mind and body focused and in balance. Find a good motorbike training center and buy as much training as you can find the money for.
